Microsoft continues to expand its Xbox Game Pass library. The company, which did not make a big move after the Activision Blizzard acquisition, seems to have taken the first step. Microsoft Gaming Manager said that Diablo 4 will be available with Xbox Game Pass.
Diablo 4 will be playable with Xbox Game Pass on March 28
Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer had stated that Activision Blizzard games would be coming to the service in 2024. Blizzard Entertainment’s highly acclaimed action-RPG game was the first major game to come to Game Pass after the completion of Microsoft’s acquisition.
With more than 34 million subscribers, Game Pass could be a big boost to Diablo 4, which hasn’t been able to reach the expected player numbers recently. This step means that players will be able to play Diablo 4 via subscription, without having to buy it separately.
Diablo 4 will be playable on Xbox and PC Game Pass starting March 28. But according to CEO Spencer, this represents just the beginning. “There will be even more to play as we begin to fulfill our commitment to offer Activision and Blizzard games with Game Pass,” he said in a statement.
He’s referring to beloved Activision Blizzard titles like Call of Duty, Overwatch and Warcraft. Both classic and new titles from the studio will be coming to Game Pass in 2024.
Spencer still did not elaborate on other Activision Blizzard games coming to the subscription service. Subscribers can expect beloved titles like Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater.
